At the age of 15, David experienced a Spinal Aneurism, leaving him a T-6 paraplegic and a wheelchair user. His ability to overcome obstacles and to achieve success in the face of adversity is what makes his story inspiring and motivating to others.
David received his Master of Business Administration in Finance from Duke University and his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The University of Wisconsin –Whitewater. His career path includes time spent in Banking, Finance, Education and Athletics.
David has spent nearly 25 years in Education, including 17 years teaching at his alma mater, Marquette University High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While at Marquette University High School, David taught Economics and he also served as the Director of Diversity, The Coordinator of Academic Support, and served 11 years as the Head Varsity Boys basketball Coach and recorded a record of 155-92. David is a three-time Greater Metro Conference Coach of The Year and led the Marquette University High School basketball team to its’ first appearance in the WIAA State Tournament in 2010. David is currently an assistant coach at Concordia University in Mequon Wisconsin. The highlight of David’s coaching career is his time spent at Duke University working for Hall of Fame Coach Mike Krzyzeswki, and being a member of the coaching staff for USA East Coast Basketball in the summer of 2014, joining Frank Martin and Guy Rancourt in Estonia and Finland.

David has had the pleasure of sharing his story at Corporations, High Schools, Basketball Camps and Clinics,
and Civic Organizations throughout the United States. Additionally, David consults for Corporate Senior Management
and School Administrators in the areas of: Teamwork, Diversity, Overcoming Obstacles and Employee motivation.
